Day 1 – Understanding the Role, Legal Responsibilities & Compliance Requirements

Morning Session (9:00 – 12:30)

1. Introduction and course objectives
2. Operator licensing essentials and best practice
3. Driver compliance overview and ensuring best practice

Afternoon Session (13:00 – 16:30)
4. Legal and technical compliance (Haulage and Passenger operations)
5. Environmental impact and sustainability (compliance obligations)
6. Practical exercise: Carbon footprint calculations

Day 2 – Driver Compliance, Operations & Practical Applications

Morning Session (9:00 – 12:30)

1. Tachograph management (in‑class simulations)
2. Working Time Directives for drivers
3. Fleet utilisation and performance management (Haulage & Passenger operations)

Afternoon Session (13:00 – 16:30)
4. Handling non‑compliance and workforce management
(Lost/damaged cards, unrecorded mileage, driving without a card, unusual tachograph errors)
5. Issuing infringement notices to drivers
6. Final workshop, RSA audit advice, and best‑practice guidance
