Is This The Training For You?
This course is for individuals who must respond to hazardous fire situations in the home, workplace or community. A fire warden is a defined workplace member responsible for sweeping their assigned floor or building and accompanying the employees and other individuals in their area to an allocated assembly point during an emergency or a fire drill per the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005. No set number of fire wardens is legally required, but an employer should carry out a fire risk assessment to determine the number their company needs. This training will give trainees the awareness of essential fire safety duties to handle fire emergencies competently.
Topics covered include:
- Understanding the roles and responsibilities of a fire warden
- Forming an awareness of how to prevent fires or limit their impact
- Planning evacuation procedures for employees, including those who need specific assistance
