Are you an experienced Transport Planner with a keen eye for detail and a passion for optimising logistics operations? ISM Recruitment is delighted to partner with our client to recruit for the role of Transport Planner. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading company where you’ll be responsible for ensuring the efficient planning and coordination of transport operations.
Key Responsibilities:
o Plan and optimise daily transport routes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
o Monitor and manage transport schedules to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
o Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and external stakeholders to streamline operations.
o Utilise transport management systems (TMS) to track and adjust plans in real time.
o Ensure compliance with transport regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies.
o Analyse operational data and provide performance reports to management.
o Address any transport-related issues promptly to minimise disruptions.
o Liaise with customers regarding delivery schedules, special requests, and service updates.
Candidate Requirements:
o A degree in Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is desirable.
o CPC qualification or relevant transport certification is a strong advantage.
o Previous experience in a transport planning role within a fast-paced environment.
o Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing demands.
o Proficiency in transport management software and Microsoft Office applications.
o Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
o A valid driver’s license is preferred.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary: €40,000 – €50,000 per annum

Hours of Work:
