This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established company where you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
o Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures for transport operations.
o Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
o Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, and incidents.
o Coordinate and deliver safety training sessions for drivers and transport staff.
o Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, providing reports and recommendations for improvement.
o Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all legal safety requirements are met.
o Support the transport team in promoting best practices for health, safety, and environmental standards.
o Ensure all PPE and safety equipment are correctly distributed and maintained.
Candidate Requirements:
o A degree in Health & Safety, Transport, or a related field is desirable.
o NEBOSH, IOSH, or other relevant safety certifications are a strong advantage.
o Previous experience in a health and safety role within the transport or logistics sector.
o Strong understanding of transport regulations and health & safety legislation.
o Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
o Strong communication and training abilities.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary: €38,000 – €45,000 per annum

Hours of Work:
Hours: 40 hours per week based on 5 x 8-hour shifts.
