ISM Training Services specialise in providing accredited training for both private and business customers to ensure they receive their ADR Certification. Read our ADR Frequently Asked Questions or learn more about our ADR Courses.
Our ADR Basic Refresher course includes all the training you will need to successfully pass your refresher exam with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. The course takes place over one day on a Wednesday.
All ISM Training and instructors are accredited and approved by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
Who Should Attend?
ADR certification is required for any driver who operates a vehicle used for transporting dangerous goods by road throughout Ireland and the EU. The ADR Drivers Training Certificate is valid for five years, and drivers are required to attend a 1-day refresher course and pass their exam within the last 12 months of their certificate expiring. This course covers the regulations and safety procedures relating to the carriage of dangerous goods by road in packages, drums and IBCs. The objective of the course is for trainees to refresh their knowledge and skills to assist them in successfully passing their exam with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and gaining certification.
What Qualifications Will I Receive?
All trainees will receive their Driver Training Certificate upon successful completion of their exam with the CILT.
Certification Renewal
The ADR Driver Training Certificate is valid for five years.
Under ADR regulations, all licence holders must attend a refresher course (ADR basic one-day course) and sit a refresher exam(s) to be eligible for another 5-year ADR cert.
This refresher course(s) and exam(s) can be done at any time in the last 12 months of the current ADR cert but must be completed before the expiration date.
We recommend holders do the refresher course(s) and exam(s) early to allow for possible repeats if necessary.
If your cert has already expired and no refresher course(s) or exam(s) have been taken, then, under ADR regulations, the holder must repeat the full ADR basic training course (3 days) and/or tanker specialisation training course (2 days) before being allowed to sit the exam(s) again.
