ISM Recruitment is delighted to partner with our client to recruit for the role of Transport Planner. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company where you’ll play a key role in optimising transport operations and ensuring efficient route planning.
Key Responsibilities:
o Plan and coordinate transport routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
o Monitor and adjust transport schedules to meet customer demands and service levels.
o Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
o Utilise transport management systems (TMS) to track fleet movements and optimise efficiency.
o Ensure compliance with transport regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies.
o Analyse data and generate reports to improve transport planning strategies.
o Resolve transport-related issues promptly to minimise disruptions and delays.
o Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules and service updates.
Candidate Requirements:
o A degree in Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is desirable.
o CPC qualification or relevant transport certification is a strong advantage.
o Previous experience in a transport planning role within a fast-paced environment.
o Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing demands.
o Proficiency in transport management software and Microsoft Office applications.
o Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
o A valid driver’s license is preferred.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary: €35,000 – €42,000 per annum

Hours of Work:
