Salary: €36,687 – €41,710 DOE plus unsocial premiums

Vacancy Type: Permanent, Fixed Term, Part-Time
Full/Part Time: Various Contracts Available

ISM Recruitment, a division of the Irish School of Motoring, is actively seeking Social Care Workers to join our client’s team on a permanent, fixed-term, or part-time basis. We are offering rewarding opportunities to work in Under 18’s Residential Services across South Dublin.

Job Responsibilities:

– Build meaningful relationships with young people to provide emotional and practical support.
– Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
– Support young people in developing life skills, managing behaviour, and fostering independence.
– Advocate on behalf of young people to ensure they have access to necessary services and resources.
– Engage in therapeutic interventions to help young people process trauma and navigate challenges.
– Work closely with families, social workers, and external agencies to coordinate care and support.
– Ensure the safety and well-being of young people by maintaining a secure and nurturing environment.
– Keep detailed and accurate records of all interactions, care plans, and incidents in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
– Encourage and facilitate young people’s participation in decision-making processes about their lives.
– Contribute to team meetings, case reviews, and other professional forums to share insights and develop strategies.
– Support the implementation of organisational policies, including those related to safeguarding and health and safety.

Essential Requirements:
– A Third level Degree in Social Care or equivalent.
– Demonstrated hands-on experience in a social care environment at a professional level or equivalent.
– Working knowledge and understanding of Child Protection.
– Experience of key working, assessments, and care planning.
– Full clean driving licence is required.
– Agree to participate in a 7-day, 24-hour shift roster including nights and 12-hour shifts.

Desirable Requirements:
– Familiarity and comprehension of the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention model.

Salary and Benefits:
€36,687 – €41,710 DOE plus unsocial premiums.
