Is This the Training for You?
This course is for newly recruited professional drivers in the Transport and Logistics industry who require assessment and training to ensure they follow their organisation’s safe driving policies. All participants must hold a full licence for the relevant vehicle. Drivers will receive a two-hour assessment with one of our RoSPA-tested, RSA Approved Driving Instructors. This training will include a first-time employee driver profiler assessment, a Rules of the Road test, and a practical on-road assessment. Upon completion, employers will receive a detailed report for each driver with a low, medium or high-risk evaluation. Further training may be recommended as a result of the driver assessment. All participants will receive a free ISM Driving for Work Sample Policy document pack.
Topics covered include:
- Learning the defensive driving style
- Identifying driving hazards, including poor driving ergonomics, fatigue and mobile phone use
- Maintaining vehicle control using observation, anticipation, and planning
