This course is for shunter operators just beginning their career or seeking to upskill in the Transport, Warehousing or Logistics sector. A shunter driver is responsible for manoeuvring vehicles around a yard into holding bays, storage areas and loading bays. Reversing is a high-risk activity in shunter operations due to the size of the vehicle. A Health and Safety Authority report found that reversing activity was involved in 11% of all fatal workplace transport accidents. This training provides the qualification to operate a yard shunter in a safe and competent manner under the guidance of one of our RSA Approved Driving Instructors.
